Frankincense Facial Cleansing Oil dissolves sunscreen, makeup, and excess sebum while respecting the skin’s natural barrier and probiotic balance. Rich in barrier-supportive plant lipids and naturally calming resins, it leaves skin soft, even, and restored without stripping or irritation.

Our cleansing oil method seems new, but it is a gentle and time-honored way to cleanse our skin, dissolving impurities while respecting the skin’s natural barrier. Paired with warm muslin, it transforms cleansing into a calm daily ritual. For best results, use morning and night.
To begin
Start with dry hands and a dry face.
Massage 2–4 pumps of cleansing oil gently over the skin, allowing the oil to dissolve makeup, sunscreen, and daily impurities. Take a quiet moment to inhale the essential oils, then continue massaging along the jaw, temples, and neck, letting these areas soften.
Your cleansing oil arrives with a 100% cotton muslin cloth, which we recommend using. It is gentler on the skin than a traditional facecloth and works beautifully with the cleansing oil method.
Soak the muslin cloth in warm water, then wring it out so it is comfortably damp.
If desired, lay the warm cloth over the face for several seconds to create a gentle steam. This helps loosen debris and encourages the pores to open.
Using the cloth, softly wipe away the oil in slow, sweeping motions.
Impurities on the skin—such as sunscreen, makeup, excess sebum, and expired surface cells—bind naturally to the cleansing oils. As the muslin cloth glides across the skin to lift away the oil, these unwanted elements are carried away with it, leaving the complexion clean, balanced, and supported in its natural pH and protective biome.
Rinse the cloth and repeat if desired, keeping the touch light and never pulling at the skin.

Care for your muslin cloth
- Rinse thoroughly after each use and allow to air dry.
- Machine wash as needed with a gentle detergent.
- Tumble dry low.

The Science of Oil Cleansing
Our Frankincense Facial Cleansing Oil works on the principle that like dissolves like.
Plant oils bind to oil-soluble impurities on the skin—such as sunscreen, makeup, excess sebum, and environmental debris — through natural affinity between similar lipid structures. As your cleansing oil is massaged over dry skin, it gently loosens and surrounds these substances, allowing them to be lifted away during removal with the muslin cloth without disrupting the skin barrier or essential surface lipids.
Because oil and water do not mix, simple rinsing is not sufficient; the muslin cloth is what fully carries impurities away while keeping the cleansing experience gentle and complete.
Unlike foaming cleansers that can strip protective lipids, Frankincense cleansing oil supports the skin’s natural pH balance and helps preserve the integrity of the moisture barrier. It's especially helpful for dry, sensitive, or barrier-compromised skin, but is suitable for all skin types when properly removed with warm water and a soft cloth.
The addition of soft cotton muslin provides mild physical exfoliation, helping to loosen expired surface cells while remaining far gentler than traditional washcloths.
The result is skin that feels clean, balanced, and calm, but never tight or stripped.
